GrInSun Harvesting Light for Life
GrInSun is an European Research Commission (ERC) Advanced Grant multidisciplinary project pursuing new discoveries and translational research in photosynthesis.

Life on earth feeds on photons
GrInSun is a ERC funded research project that bridges fundamental research with translational approaches to foster new discoveries and applications in photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the metabolic process that converts sunlight into chemical energy. Understanding the function and regulation of green proteins is crucial to engineer novel crops endowed with enhanced light-use efficiency.
- The green proteins: key players in photosynthesis
- Bioengineering the green proteins: how and why?
- Enhancing light-use efficiency of the photosynthetic apparatus
- The working plan of the GrInSun project
