Claudia Battarra, Zeno Guardini, and Luca Dall’Osto took part in European Researchers’ Night on September 25 in the heart of Verona, bringing the world of plants closer to visitors of all ages.
During the afternoon, at the Cortile Mercato Vecchio, they ran a hands-on plant anatomy stand, inviting visitors to explore cells, tissues, and tiny plant structures through optical microscopes and stereomicroscopes.
Later, at the Loggiato Fra Giocondo, Claudia Battarra introduced the European GrInSun project with an explanatory poster. Zeno Guardini then outlined the research planned for the ERC-funded GrInSun project in a talk titled “How to capture a ray of sunshine: understanding photosynthesis to protect biodiversity.”
