Vittorio Pagliuca holds a bachelor degree in Biotechnology at Università degli studi di Roma Tor Vergata. Here he researched at prof. Andrea Battistoni’s lab on Pseudomonas aeruginosa zinc channel as a determinant in bacterial survival in low zinc environment. In 2018 he was awarded a master degree in Industrial biotechnology at Università degli studi di Padova, with a thesis on “Cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms under natural light for the production of economically valuable molecules” with prof Tomas Morosinotto as supervisor. Between 2020 and 2022 he worked as a laboratory manager at Landlab s.r.l. working on research and development of agricultural innovative products (biostimulants, fertilizers, biocontrol agents). From 2022 he has a research grant in photosynthesis lab under the supervision of prof. Roberto Bassi and prof. Luca Dall’Osto at the University of Verona, working on photosynthetic research applied to plants, with particular focus on light harvesting complexes (LHCs) and photoprotection.
