Giovanni Fuso was born in Parma, Italy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture and Enology from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza. He then completed a Master’s degree in Agri-food Biotechnology. During his thesis, he focused on analyzing transcriptomic data in barley, studying genes involved in resistance to abiotic stress, as well as developing molecular switches in Nicotiana benthamiana. He is currently a PhD student, working on biomolecular tools for genome editing in microalgae, with the ultimate goal of enhancing our understanding of the structure and function of LHC antenna proteins.
