Edoardo Andrea Cutolo is a post-doc researcher at the Photosynthesis and Bioenergy Laboratory, of which he has been a member since December 2018. Previously, he studied Biology at the Universities of Genoa and Milan and, subsequently, obtained a degree in Plant Biotechnology at the University of Ghent (Belgium). From 2014 to 2018, he completed his PhD in Molecular Plant Physiology at the Universities of Munich and Bonn (Germany) studying mechanisms of acclimatization of the photosynthetic apparatus in plants in response to stress. Currently he is researching on the genetic engineering of microalgae for the production of high added value molecules, to improve their productivity, binding fundamental research activities to innovative application in the plant biotechnology.
